The tech media has been exited the past 24 hours with the release of the google calendar. Many articles are about on this site alone, (including mine) and I am sure there are millions of blog posts on the subject. I have noticed, however that there are generally 2 views on it.
Number One being: OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!one!!!!! it's here and it roxxors!!!!!!!!
Number Two being: So what, it's just like every other calendar app, and it doesn't sync with my Mobile device etc.
I, having used it, have to say that I like it a lot. It isn't the best calendar app, nor is it inventive in anyway, but the fact that's google makes up for that. Google has a way about them. The interface is always clean, and their products are always functional at worse, and, in the case of gmail, great.
The main attraction for google calendar is the integration with gmail. Anyone whose anyone uses gmail, the reasons for that is a different article. But people love gmail and love google, and the calendar is another app in a google age.
It seems to me that the only people who don't like google calendar are those that already have other programs or other ways of doing things, I just think that the google calendar is a good program, and even though you don't use it, everyone has to attest to it's amazing functionality.
